I decided that I am going to do a few posts on breastfeeding, since I haven't addressed that in a LONG time. Since January I have gotten more calls for assistance than probably ever before, and moms are searching for help and answers. SO, if you have a question or a topic you'd like me to cover about breastfeeding, please leave me a comment and let me know, and I will work on those very soon!
For a few tips I've already posted about, visit
here.
How do I keep from feeling lopsided when my child only drinks from one breast at a time? It's not that bad unless I forget to move over my safety pin to remind me where she last nursed. Can a whale be milked, I heard that a gallon of cow's milk in Alaska is $9 a gallon!? That's more than gas! Is the myth about the woman serving breast milk in a cake to her guests because she ran out of regular milk true? Has your husband every tried your breast milk? These are my questions:)
ReplyDeleteOh sister, I had such a hard time breastfeeding. Didn't like it much at all. Mastitis, thrush and that stuff. But I think it is so important and I could probably consult now as well because I had every problem. I eventually stumped even the lactation consultant. I only lasted 4 months with my son but almost a year with my daughters. So good for the kids, but sometimes the mom goes crazy :)
ReplyDeleteI just did a post on this last week! http://mylittlebitoflife.com/?p=1204
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in that season of life, I wanted to know that I wasn't the only one who thought it was hard and extremely painful! :)
I loved breastfeeding. I miss it. I wish more moms would try!
ReplyDeleteI am a first time mom with a three week old baby boy. I've really been struggling with breastfeeding. I was wondering if you have any tips for helping the baby latch on and stay latched on. I'm excited to read your post :)
